The company received a $10 million DARPA award to "produce a robot with animal-like strength, speed and mobility," Mass High Tech notes. Arctic Ice May Be Collapsing
Right-wing talk show hosts have been crowing that this years harsh winter in the Northern Hemisphere is proof that global warming is nonsense, but they are ignoring the fact that parts of Australia are experiencing that hottest summer on record, AND that arctic ice is still melting fast.
Satellite data reveal that the arctic is losing its old, thick ice faster than ever before—in modern times, anyway. This has continued even though the summer is over. Older ice floes are thicker and contain less salt, so they usually survive the summer better than the more newly-formed ice. The shrinking of Arctic ice has global implications, since ice reflects heat back into the atmosphere, helping to keep global warming at bay. In BBC News, Richard Black quotes NASA researcher Seelye Martin as saying,"Although this March the area is slightly larger than last March, the area of [thick] perennial ice has reached an all time low. "So the volume of Arctic ice continues to decrease."" He quotes NASA researcher Josefino Comiso as saying, "It's becoming thinner and thinner and much more susceptible to melting during the summer—much more likely to melt away."Read more here.

I’ve been asked to visit a local teen center to give a presentation on UFOs, Area 51 and government cover-ups. If you live in the Philadelphia area, feel free to come by, the event is free. Visitor Submitted UFO Photographs – Pentagon July 4, 1949
Recently I obtained over 400 slides (mostly color) from the late 1940's to the early 1950's from my uncle in Richmond, Virginia. I was excited about the slides, because my dad was born in 1941 (14 years after his brother) and many of the slides are of him as a child. How many kids born in the 1940's have color pictures of themselves?
In the 1940’s my uncle Eugene had a small camera which took two color pictures on one 35mm frame. So they are half of a normal 35mm picture. He had all of his color pictures put onto slides instead of prints.
When handing me the 4 metal slide boxes, he told me I was welcome to copy them, but to watch out for the UFO pictures he had taken. Eugene served in the Air Force in the late 40's into the 50's and lived in Arlington, Virginia for a while. He said you could clearly see the Pentagon from his back door. Eugene told me he investigated reports of UFOs while in the Air Force. In Eugene's slides there are images such as a young farm boy who Eugene said was "zapped" by a ray from a "spaceship" while chopping on a tree in the woods with a hatchet. I can send those slides as well, but their not as great as the one described below.

Visitor Submitted UFO Video
An unidentified flying object caught the attention of some Pasco County residents early Friday.
Many described the object -- a rotating triangle of three white lights plus a flashing red light that stayed put -- as a UFO.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says some Wesley Chapel residents called 911 around 6:25 a.m. wondering what was up -- literally.

Ok, so an infrared filter over a night vision scope is used to pick out colored blotches in the sky. That part I get, what I don't get at all is any way to deduce size, motion, angles, or distance when viewing something through a highly filtered system like this. Given that this hardware setup will produce blobs of light for anything that is warmer than the outside air, these blobs could be created by a bird flying into the range of the equipment and then flying back out again. You wont see the "object" with the naked eyes because its...well...nighttime and there isn't any light. There is nothing about these images that makes me think there is a UFO or any other craft involved. Show some video, show a series of images. With a small selection of images like this there is simply not enough data to say that anything other than explainable objects or animals are causing these effects on that equipment.

There is nothing about these images that makes me think there is a UFO or any other craft involved. Show some video, show a series of images. With a small selection of images like this there is simply not enough data to say that anything other than explainable objects or animals are causing these effects on that equipment.
