Triangle Shaped UFO Over Kansas - 8/21/09

MUFON Witness Report: My friends and I (6 of us total) were visiting the neighborhood pond when one of us called to point out a lighted object far off in the dark sky.We watched the object circle around, and one of my friends and I had jokingly called out, "Ha ha look it's a UFO!" Two of the guys with us decided it looked like a blimp judging by the lights positioning. I snapped a pic of the aircraft on my cell phone while it was still visible.The object had flown just out of sight behind some trees. We all were stunned at the thought of what that could have been. Finally everyone agreed that it had to have been a blimp. Approx. 2 minutes late,r the lights from before were much brighter now and behind us. We all turned around to see the object up close and right in front of us but just above the tree line.The aircraft, about the size of a small house, hovered while continuing to move right above our heads. At this point we could see the distinct outline of a very thin triangular shaped black object.Numerous lights lit up the underneath and a slight hum could be heard, but nothing like an airplane or a jet engine. My friends and I just watched it pass and as we were all in shock, nobody could get out their phone for a closer picture.Just after passing us and the small pond, the triangular aircraft increased speed and took off. The object disappeared within the blink of an eye. I was in complete shock as I had never seen anything like this before in my life.

Clouds...or "Spaceships"?

They have the ability to change the color of the "skin" of the starship to match the color of the sky or to collect water molecules in the air surrounding the ship, which then form a cloud to conceal the ship, thus cloudships. More About the Author
Richard Dolan was born in Brooklyn, New York, studied at Alfred University and Oxford University, was a finalist for a Rhodes scholarship, and completed his graduate work in history at the University of Rochester. Prior to his interest in UFOs, Dolan studied U.S. Cold War strategy, Soviet history and culture, and international diplomacy.
In 2000, he published UFOs and the National Security State: An Unclassified History, 1941-1973 (republished in 2002 with the subtitle Chronology of a Cover-Up, 1941-1973). This 500-page history describes the major UFO cases of the early Cold War era, the attitudes and policies toward UFOs by the military and intelligence community, and the development of the citizen movements to end UFO secrecy.
In 2009, Richard completed Volume Two of his historical study, subtitled The Cover-Up Exposed, 1973-1991, and is now at work on the final volume of his historical trilogy.Richard has also published articles and spoken at conferences around the world. 1980 RAF Bentwaters: Updates on UFO Phenomena

1. UFO CONFERENCE - Pennsylvania leads the nation in UFO sightings
"UFO's. . . Seeing is Believing". The Pennsylvania Mutual UFO Network will present a UFO Conference on Friday from 6-10:30pm and Saturday from 11-6pm on October 9 & 10 2009 at the Montgomery Community College 340 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell Pa 19422 and Saturday October 17th 2009 from 10am to 6pm at the Westmoreland Community College 145 Pavillion Ln Youngwood, Pa 15697.
Pennsylvania has been the epicenter of the world's largest UFO wave since the summer of 2008. There have been over 350 UFO reports filed with MUFON from Pittsburgh to Philly over the past twelve months. John Ventre, the Pennsylvania State Director for MUFON stated, "We're getting clusters of sightings from every town from Pittsburgh to Philly along the southern half of the state. We have 51 reports in the Pittsburgh-Westmoreland County area and 155 in the Philly area. I get reports of UFO's coming in from Lake Erie in Ohio and across Wheeling, West Virginia into the Pittsburgh area and they are seen minutes later on the Eastern part of the state. The Discovery Channel was in Pa last summer to film a pilot show for a series entitled "UFO's over Earth" that aired last November. The History Channel flew in this past March and filmed a show for their popular series "UFO Hunters" which aired this past May."
The Conference will present a combination of expert Paranormal and UFO speakers. There will be speakers discussing the UFO phenomenon, Abductions, Bigfoot and the Bible and UFOs.

The Mutual UFO Network was founded in 1969 after the US Air Force concluded their 17 year Project Blue Book study of UFO's and concluded that UFO's are not a threat to National Security. "They never said UFO's don't exist. There is overwhelming evidence that they do. I believe this is an aviation safety issue. The only reason there are not more collisions is because of their ability to maneuver, not ours", said Ventre.
Mufon has 3000 members worldwide and over 900 certified investigators. The Pennsylvania MUFON branch has 139 members and 29 certified investigators. Visitor Submitted Theories - Patterns in UFO illumination - Redshift / Blueshift
In "My estimate of the UFO situation for 2009" e-mail earlier this year I suggested that some degree of technological sense has to be made of UFOs, even to make "seeing believing" let alone to make the UFO subject more acceptable. I have attempted to collect such data in my UFO quick technical overview: What we think we know about UFOs web-page. While searching for patterns in UFO illumination, I noticed one which I mention in a short note-to-self [todo: gravitational redshift/blueshift in RHS/LHS of lent. saucers?] in section #19 of that page.

I should start by saying that I try to respect witness testimony which I feel deserves respect, from seemingly sane and sincere witnesses. Yet I have often noticed reports of hovering discoid UFOs, where the eyewitness(es) reported green/blue light on the left-hand-side and red on the right-hand-side, being dismissed as being aircraft anti-collision lights and wondered how seemingly reliable people under good observation conditions could be so wrong mistaking approaching aircraft for a UFO.

Curiosity seems to be an integral component of human nature, for most of us in any case. Anyone who has ever gazed up and observed something unusual traversing the sky overhead has likely wondered what it is and what its origins were, especially if its flight characteristics and appearance suggested it might be under intelligent control. This longing to understand has not been confined to modern times. Generals and foot soldiers serving under Alexander the Great almost certainly wondered the same thing as “flying shields” hung over their field of battle the night before an engagement, as did the residents of sixteenth century Nuremberg, Germany, as cylinder-shaped UFOs released innumerable spherical and discshaped objects into the morning sky. Uncounted people from every era and corner of the Earth have shared a similar sense of wonder, awe, fear, and curiosity, but it was not until history ushered in the modern era of UFO sightings that some began to assume – correctly as it turned out – that our
governments might actually have known more about this illusive
phenomenon than they chose to let on.

Von Daniken also unearths the astounding story of a lost subterranean labyrinth in Ecuador that is said to be home to an extensive library of thousands of gold panels. He supplies evidence that the metal library has links not only to the Book of Enoch but also to the Mormons, who have spent decades searching for it, believing it to contain the history of their forefathers.

And what about the mysterious lines in the desert of Nazca that resemble landing strips when viewed from the air? Archeologists claim they are ancient procession routes. Think again! cries von Daniken, as he reveals the data that the archeologists never even thought to check.

History Is Wrong will challenge your intellect...and maybe a few long-held beliefs. This is Erich von Daniken's best book in years!

My Review
I have been a long time fan of Erich von Daniken's work and have never been disappointed by what I have read. History is Wrong is no exception. From the moment I started the book, I was swept away to a place of amazement and wonder. I was so caught up in the information being presented, I began wishing I had the resources to plan my own expedition to Ecuador to explore the caves discussed.

For many people, von Daniken's work represents fanciful outlandish theories of ancient astronauts interacting with human beings millennia ago. In this book in particular, it's those exact perceptions that von Daniken challenges, by asking scientifically motivated questions that the mainstream scientific community have failed to ask. It's through these questions that the accepted, though extremely hard to believe, explanations are subjected to scrutiny.

If you have any interest in the mysteries of past civilizations, regardless of possible extraterrestrial influences, this book is a must read. It's also a given for those of us who accept von Daniken's theories.
